The originality of the PhD program in Digital Humanities, the heir to the earlier paths, consists of the integration and complementarity of different disciplines such as language, human machine interaction, visual arts (cinema and entertainment), cultural goods, including communication and training methodologies. The main goal of the PhD is to develop high-level interdisciplinary competences in these fields, useful to address the challenges posed by technological transformations that require new approaches and the development of new intercultural and inter-sectoral paradigms. The strategic aim is to include interdisciplinarity in an international dimension; a feature that the various disciplines of the College guarantee structurally on multiple plans, and which is also based on consolidated relationships with universities and international institutions.

Specifically, the PhD in Digital Humanities, which consists of four curricula, of which 2 in Genoa and 2 in Turin, intends to fill a gap in the Italian university landscape. It is characterized by the particular type of interdisciplinary, aiming to integrate digital technologies and specific humanities: languages and cultures on the one hand and visual arts on the other. The common technology denominator facilitates the fusion of the following 4 curricula, without affecting their originality:
